When I met Kara it was her birthday and CJ had given her a gift for maternity photos… But it was a surprise. She had no idea who I was or why she was at my home studio when they pulled up. These two came in with a story that is seriously out of a movie; to tell the truth it basically was the movie “Knocked Up”. These two were not dating and had only been together one time (CJ is a wild and free spirit and Kara is an elementary school teacher) however they both were excited about this little boy who was coming into their lives very soon. We wanted to tell a story through these maternity photos that although the mother and father would be living separately, they would be loving him together. The typical couple poses were out of the question for these two and so we got to get really creative. In the end, we had so much fun in this session! I am so happy for this new, and modern, family.
